Basefund’s current sign-in experience uses the secure authentication options displayed on the sign-in screen. The former Basefund password-reset instructions no longer apply.
Start with the correct email address
Use the same individual work email associated with your Basefund account or transaction invitation.
If you use a different address, Basefund may not display the organization or transaction you expect. Do not create a second account to work around an email mismatch.
If an invitation link does not work
Confirm that you opened the most recent Basefund invitation or reminder.
Confirm that you are signing in with the email address that received the invitation.
Ask the Coordinator or Co-Coordinator to verify your contact record.
If necessary, ask the Coordinator or Co-Coordinator to send another invitation or reminder.
If you cannot use your passkey
Confirm that you are using the device, browser profile, or password manager where the passkey was saved.
Follow any alternate sign-in option displayed by Basefund.
Do not share an authentication code or approve a sign-in request you did not initiate.
If no available method works, contact Basefund Support for account recovery.
If you used a shared mailbox
A shared mailbox cannot be used to sign in or complete identity verification. Sign in with your individual work email instead.
If a transaction notification was sent to a shared mailbox, ask the Coordinator or Co-Coordinator to add an individual contact who can complete the required actions.
See Using a Shared Mailbox in Basefund for more information.
If you can sign in but cannot see the transaction
Confirm that:
You signed in with the same email address that was invited.
You accepted the transaction invitation.
The Coordinator or Co-Coordinator added you to the correct organization and transaction.
Your access has not been removed or changed to a different contact.
Contact support
Contact Basefund Support if you cannot complete account recovery, the sign-in screen repeatedly returns you to the same step, or your account is associated with the wrong email address or organization.
Include your name, organization, individual work email, and the transaction name if applicable. Do not send passwords, passkeys, authentication codes, identity documents, or complete bank instructions by email.
